A penthouse with panoramic views of the city, the spaces are designed to orient one towards the view and the furnishing was selected to stay low and keep views unobstructed. The interiors are mostly pared back to let the owners’ unique collection of art take center stage. A home meant for hosting game nights and dinner parties, the spaces flow into each other with recollection of other rooms with intentional pops of color and material. In the dining room, a custom-designed dining table uses London Plane, a high-character wood, and live edges contrasting against the minimalist ash floors. At one end of the apartment, the main bedroom is enveloped with textured plaster walls with an ensuite where an interior window was introduced to bring in the prized views to the travertine lined bathroom. On the other end of the apartment, there is a Media Room meant for gathering in a cozy darkened nook to enjoy karaoke and movies. A home meant to adapt and change as the couple’s evolving lifestyle brings in more character and as their family begins to grow.
