The store design is a reflection of the R.M. Williams signature shoe, crafted from one piece of leather.  A monolithic scheme using custom concrete tiles that mimic the red earth tones of outback Australia wrap the entire retail environment and serve as backdrop for the RM Williams collection.  

Thin, white solid surface shelves that are discretely illuminated are rhythmically layered along the walls until they reach the higher white space with diffused lighting, resembling the Australian sky. Black elements in the form of steel rods supporting the display shelves interrupt the composition. They hang from the ceiling barely touching the curved ground. Like patches of greenery in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia, custom green seats and plants are spread across the store to add comfort and texture.
